Imex Paper begins sheeting and distribution operations in Miami.
Imex Paper, an international paper trading company with ten years of recognized experience in both Latin America and North America, opens its new distribution center in Miami. These modern facilities have the newest technology in paper converting, the Econ sheeter, with innovative technology that allows converting paper reels into folio sheets in different sizes at high speeds.
According to Imex Paper’s CEO, Luis Tome, “after the opening of our distribution plant in South Florida, and with the purchase of the MarquipWardUnited sheeter, time delivery of products requested by our customers will be reduce in a 70% because we will have them in our inventory “. The new machine has the latest technology available. So far, there are only six Econ sheeters installed worldwide. Tome says that with the purchase of the sheeter, the company can work 24 hours a day through at least three shifts, to get the most out of the equipment and to provide a more reliable service.
“The Econ sheeter gives Imex Paper’s customers more flexibility, allowing them to buy sheeted material in the size required both wide and long, reducing waste and saving money. Imex does not only functions as a converter, it also sells rolls of paper and cardboard in different widths and gauges. We can offer paper in many different sizes”, he emphasizes. With this sheeter, the company consolidated itself as a plant that provides cutting paper services: “That machine allows us to cut from low weight paper up to cardboard. From a thin paper to a thick cardboard. This will increase our offer of paper supply in Latin America, USA and Asia because Imex Paper can make everything you need in paper come true”, he says.
Tome also says the company has various payment systems: prepaid and financing. “We offer very competitive prices in markets such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, United States, Canada and the Caribbean.” In June 2015, The US Small Business Administration granted the South Florida Exporter of the Year award to Venezuelan Luis Tome, president of Paper Imex who received the award from Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
